Currently In Love With – For Life By Runtown

The sound god Runtown is back with an all-compassing new tune that has everyone on their toes! The singer is scoring another hit yet again “For Life”. After topping the charts in Nigerian music and breaking records. Scoring over 30million views on youtube, the singer can see his stock rise as he tours different cities outside of Nigeria and making waves for Nigerian music because of his successful jam “Mad Over You”. Mad Over You is still currently breaking charts and now “For Life” has joined the train! Runtown released “For Life”  on the  12th of May and it already has everyone singing!

For Life was produced by Krizbeatz, who worked on tracks like Tekno’s Pana and Rara  as well as Tekno feat Davido on Erima. For Life begins with similar beats like mellow guitar notes and the calm lush drums at the back to his previous Jam Mad Over You. He literally changed the game and is responsible for the switch in the Nigerian Pop sound, along side with the likes of Mr Eazi and now even Ycee, with hit banger which features Maleek Berry titled “Juice”. Everyone has this jam right at the tip of their tongue, “too much juice, too much sauce”.

Runtown’s musical sweetness is unmatched and definitely knows how to swoon a lady. With the easy going tempo and head-bobbing potentiality, the song makes you nod your head unconsciously at times because of how good it is. Professing his love, similarly to Mad Over You, offering his soul with the sound of his rhythmic tune, creating that emotion that he desperately wants his partner to feel, connecting it with the audience. It will definitely reverberate with his humongous female fan base.

Currently, Runtown is one of the few melody creators in terms of vocals, that Nigerians clearly boast about and even love doing it! How can you not love a hopeless romantic?  Its hard to resist the pleas of Runtown on any track, pouring his soul and giving life to every word and note.  He is evidently using the change in Nigerian pop to create something big and he is already making that step. Many say this is Mad Over You part 2, but who cares? we love it regardless.
